Tournaments
Create and run tournaments with automatic Swiss pairing, standings, and result tracking.
Creating a tournament
- Go to /tournaments
- Tap New tournament
- Enter a name
- Choose the format: Swiss or Round Robin
- Set the number of rounds
- Tap Create
Adding players
- Open your tournament
- Tap Add player
- Enter the player's name and faction
- Players can be registered users (linked to their account) or guests (name only)
- Add all participants before starting
Running rounds
Swiss pairing
The Swiss system automatically pairs players:
- Round 1: random pairing
- Subsequent rounds: players with similar scores are paired
- No rematches (where possible)
Entering results
- Each matchup shows both players
- Enter the scores for each player
- Select the outcome: Player 1 wins, Player 2 wins, or Draw
- Standings update automatically
Advancing rounds
- Tap Next round when all results are entered
- The system generates new pairings based on current standings
- Continue until all rounds are complete
Standings
The standings table shows:
- Rank — current position
- Player — name and faction
- W/L/D — wins, losses, draws
- Score — total match points
Finishing
- After the final round, tap Finish tournament
- The tournament is marked as completed
- Results are permanently saved
- Everyone can view the final standings
Tips
- Swiss format works best with 4+ players
- For 3 players, round robin is usually better
- You can add guest players who don't have accounts
- Only the tournament creator can manage pairings and results
- Tournaments are publicly viewable — share the link with participants
